Establishment
Star cement established in 2001 and started cement production at Meghalaya, India. In 2005, the company was recognized by the Meghalaya state government for its pioneering cement plant in the backward area of Lumshnong, Meghalaya. The company brand “Star Cement” has established itself as the most accredited brand of the region on grounds of both quality and fair pricing. The company is listed on National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Star cement vision is to become the fastest growing and the most competitive cement company in Eastern India.
Founder
Star Cement founded by Shri Sajjan Bhajanka. He is an Indian industrialist, and Chairman and Managing Director of the company. He is a Commerce Graduate from Dibrugarh University, Assam. He has experience in Business and industries of more than 40 years. Bhajanka is also Managing Director of Century Plyboards Limited, the largest producer of plywood, laminates and block-boards in India. He is also a member of Governing Boards like Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute, Bangalore and Bharat Chamber of Commerce. He also did many social work for the society.
