Founder
Goodknight was founded by Charles Goodknight. He was an American cattle rancher. He was born on 5March, 1836 at Macoupin County, Illinois, US, He known as the “father of the Texas Panhandle.” In 1857, he joined the Texas Rangers. During the civil war, he joined the Confederate States Army. He was very talented and always passionate towards his work. In 1870, he married to Mary Ann “Molly” Dyer, a teacher from Weatherford. In 1955, he was inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. On 1929, he died.
