Sunil Bharti Mittal attended the Wynberg Allen School in Mussoorie for a while, then he moving on to Scindia School at Gwalior. In 1976, he graduated Bachelor of Arts and Science from Punjab University. At young age, he was very bright student and hardworking.
Career
Sunil Bharti Mittal had interest in business from a young age. Before an entrepreneur, he import scraps and bicycle parts then he moved to Mumbai with his business dreams. He started a small-scale business, selling stainless sheets. In 1980, he started Bharti Overseas Trading Company with his brother. Soon, Mittal’s business grew and he became a millionaire. In 1990, he launched Bharti Telecom Limited in which he assemble push button phones. Over the years he achieved success from one to another.
Now, Mittal is currently serving as the vice chairman of the International Chamber (ICC) and is also on the Prime Minister of India’s Council on Trade and Industry, World Economic Forum’s International Business Council, and Telecom Board of International Telecommunication Union(ITU). He operates the foundation in which more than 254 schools and provide education to over 46,000 children.
