Establishment
Jyothy Laboratories established in 1983. In 1983. The company started as a proprietary concern in Kerala selling one brand, Ujala Supreme. In 1992, Jyothy established a factory In Chennai to manufacture Ujala. 2000, the company launched Max in west Bengal and Exo in South India. In 2002, the company acquired subsidiary Sri Sai Homecare. The company listed in BSE and NSE in 2007. In 2010, Sachin Tendulkar was signed as Brand Ambassador of Ujala Supreme. It won Product of the year award for Exo in 2013.
In 2020, Jyothy launched a new product Margo Face Wash, India’s No.1 Neem Paste face in West Bengal. The journey of Jyothy laboratories was started from a very single unit but now it is become a multinational FMCG company.

Jyothy Laboratories founded by Moothedath Panjan Ramachandran. He was born at Kerala. He was also Chairman and Managing director of the company. Ramachandran did his post graduation in Financial Management in Mumbai. In 1971, he started his career as an accountant. He was an intelligent child in school time. He guided by his astute vision and relentless pursuit to better human lives and contribute in nation building.
