Crayola founded in 1885 and has inspired artistic creativity in children for more than 100 years – since the first box of Crayola crayons rolled off the assembly line in 1903. The company began when cousins Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith took over Edwin’s father’s pigment business in 1885. Early products included red oxide pigment used as barn paint and carbon black used in car tires. Founder
Crayola company founded by Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith. Edwin Binney was an American entrepreneur and inventor of first dustless white chalk. He was born on 1866. In 1855, he and his cousin and C. Harold Smith, handle his father business Peekskill Chemical Co. and they both founded Crayola company together. Binney married to Alice Stead Binney and blessed with four children Dorothy, Helen, Mary, and Edwin Jr. Edwin Binney died on 1934.

Every Since I was a child I enjoy coloring as a adult I’m in love with coloring with Crayola..Markers .. Coloring Pencils. Ect purchase the Color of the World Crayons! ❤️the Crayons .. I’m just no caring for the black color ~ the word colored is very disrespectful.. I’m biracial.. I would appreciate if the company would stop 🛑 with the Colored ~ for African Americans it’s over that I see the Crayola hasn’t changed. I hope the Company will! Sincerely A costumer
