Blistex has committed itself to providing consumers with superior lip care products since its founding in 1947 as a small, family-run business. In 1967, the company relocated to Oak Brook, Illinois in order to expand their research and development capabilities, and create their own manufacturing and corporate office space. The decades that followed saw Blistex further its innovation in lip care, as well as extend into worldwide health markets.
Now, the Blistex brand is being carried on by a third generation of the original founders, and holds true to the same principles it was founded on: quality, growth, innovation and leadership. Blistex continues to provide customers with a full line of top-notch lip care products.

Founder
Charles E. Arch
Blistex was founded in 1947 by Charles E. Arch, a former Sheffield resident. He was the chairman of Blistex Inc., a manufacturer of lip care products, until his death in 1982. Blistex was initially a small, family-run company with the objective of creating quality products and achieving consistent growth.
He died of heart disease at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill. He was 79 years old and lived in Oak Brook, Ill. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, a son, two brothers, a sister and nine grandchildren.
