Establishment
Aurobindo pharma established in 1986. In 1988, the company started manufacturing Semi Synthetic Penicillins (SSPs) at Pondicherry. In 1992, the company established for manufacture of CMIC Chloride at Hyderabad. It merged with Chaitanya Organics Pvt. Ltd. in 1994 and Aurobindo became a public company in 1995. In 2017, the company started filling Oncology & Harmon’s, Dermatology and Nasal ANDAs in US and acquired Generis in Portugal.

Aurobindo pharma founded by Mr. P.V. Ramprasad Reddy and Mr. K. Nityananda Reddy. Mr. K. Nityananda Reddy did master’s in science.
